Free-to-Departments Furniture Offer

Aggie Surplus, in conjunction with the space management unit of Design and Construction Management, is offering free furniture to departments over three days next week — desks, chairs, cabinets and tables, all for university use only.

“If you need furniture to start the new year, this is the event for you,” Aggie Surplus declares on its website. Furniture will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis, with no limit on what anyone can take. “We encourage you to stop by early for best selection,” the organizers said.

Departments and units are invited to get rid of their e-waste, for free, during a drop-off event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the Hopkins Services Complex on Hopkins Road west of Highway 113. Aggie Surplus is the organizer, and will ensure all materials are recycled appropriately.
