Student Housing and Dining Services is seeking volunteers to help more than 11,000 new residents “Moove In” to on-campus housing throughout the month of September.

Students are “mooving” into campus housing for a very different fall quarter. Gone are the crowds, for a couple of reasons.

What used to be Moove-In Weekend is now spread over two weeks, by appointment only, to allow for physical distancing. Each student can have only one helper.

Moove-In Weekend moved very smoothly for 5,800 or so freshmen and returning residents who arrived Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 21 and 22) at �°��ϲ��Ļ��Ϣ Davis residence halls. More than 1,100 transfer students moved into Student Housing apartments.

�°��ϲ��Ļ��Ϣ Davis' seventh chancellor just got done unpacking his own boxes, but that doesn't mean he and his wife can't help other newcomers move to campus.

Gary and LeShelle May, along with deans and vice chancellors, donned yellow "Moo-ve in crew" shirts and helped first-year students load suitcases, boxes and mini-fridges into their residence halls over the weekend.
