The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) is a written agreement that guarantees admission to аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis in a specific major from any California community college (CCC).
Apply for a TAG
- Use the (TAP) to start your TAG application.
- Review it with your
- Submit the TAG application by September 30 via the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ TAP. Review your TAG decision after mid-November.
- Submit the by the December 2 deadline. Major must be the same in BOTH the TAG application and the regular аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Transfer application.
- Submit a
- Fulfill all remaining coursework and GPA requirements as outlined in your TAG agreement.

Enrollment
At the time you apply for a аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis TAG:
- You must have a plan to complete 30 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable semester-units (45 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable quarter-units) at one or more CCC's
- The last college you attended in a regular session must be a CCC
- Last term must have no more than 19 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable semester units (28 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable quarter-units in progress.
Units
Completed by end of summer 2024:
- Minimum 30 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable semester-units (45 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable quarter-units)
Completed by the end of spring term prior to transfer:
- Minimum 60 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable semester-units (90 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable quarter-units)
- Minimum 30 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable semester-units (45 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable quarter-units) of overall units must be from a CCC
- Last term must have no more than 19 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable semester units (28.5 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable quarter-units)
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable course GPA
Completed by end of summer 2024:
- Earn at least a 3.20 GPA for all majors in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the College of Biological Sciences and the College of Letters and Science.
- Earn at least a 3.50 GPA for all majors in the College of Engineering.
Additional GPA requirements:
- Meet any additional GPA requirements for selective major courses with no grade lower than a C in all аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ transferable course work in current fall term.
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢E, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢M and 7-course pattern
- Minimum two English composition courses (аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢E); At least one аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-E must be completed by the end of fall. Second аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-E can be in progress for spring.
- Mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning course completed (аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢M) by end of fall.
Completed by the end of spring term prior to transfer, four courses from at least two of the following subject areas:
- Arts and Humanities (аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢H)
- Social and Behavioral Sciences (аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢B)
- Physical and Biological Sciences (аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢S)
Situations precluding eligibility
- Students who are concurrently enrolled in high school at the time of TAG submission
- Students who have already earned a bachelor, graduate and/or professional degree
- Students previously enrolled at a аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ campus who were not in good standing when they left that аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢
- at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis during a regular term (excluding summer)

Selective major course requirements
Certain majors are considered selective and have additional requirements for all applicants. TAG requirements may exceed these selective major course requirements—both selective major and TAG requirements must be satisfied. You must complete selective major course requirements as outlined by the end of spring term prior to transfer. You must achieve and maintain minimum required GPAs for courses in the groups or series below that have been completed at the time of application.

Additional tips
All coursework, including international coursework, must be reported on the TAG and аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ application, regardless if it is considered transferable or if the student does not want any credit.
Lower division unit limitations
To be eligible for a TAG, students who attended any colleges or universities other than a CCC must have less than 80 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable semester-units (120 аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢-transferable quarter-units) overall, after applying аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ lower-division unit limitations and exclusions.
