April 9, Friday -- Astronaut and аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis alumnus Stephen Robinson will headline two campus events. From 10 to 10:45 a.m., Robinson will attend an open forum for faculty and students, "The Future of Human Spaceflight in America." At 11 a.m., he will give a public lecture, "Heavy Construction Made Weightless -- Building the International Space Station." Both events will take place in 1003 Giedt Hall on the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis campus. Robinson recently returned from his fourth space mission, a two-week trip to the International Space Station. During the mission, the crew installed a new connecting module and a viewing cupola on the space station. Robinson's talk is part of the College of Engineering's Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series.
