IN BRIEF: PPE, Mail, Lap Swimming, Zoom!

The new  has resources to help us prepare for a gradual return to campus. This includes guides for developing a unique worksite plan for your office, ready-made signage available to order, best practices to protect yourself and others, and eLearning. 

Centrally funded supplies

Finance, Operations and Administration and Supply Chain Management are offering limited quantities of face coverings, disinfectants, sanitizers and other personal protective equipment, or PPE, at no cost to departments. These items, made available through central funding, are intended to help departments prepare for an increase in the number of people on campus. Note: This offer does not apply to 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis Health clinical settings.

Interested units must have completed ; this form helps Supply Chain Management and campus leadership have visibility into what supplies are needed and how many are on order. This to help Supply Chain Management determine forecasted needs.

After registering, units can request approximately one month鈥檚 supply of COVID-19 related materials. Further instructions are available here.

Reactivating mail delivery

Due to suspended campus operations, Mail Services has been holding deliveries at the Hopkins Services Complex for will-call pick-up. If your department has returned or is planning to return and would like to activate deliveries, .

Lap swimming returns

The Rec Pool reopened for lap swimming this week, while recreational swimming is still on hold until further notice.

Lap swimming hours are scheduled seven days a week, with reservations required and available at this time only to Campus Recreation members and current 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis students (and by 鈥渃urrent,鈥 Campus Rec means Summer Sessions I), at no charge.

Lanes will be available to non-Campus Rec members at a later date, according to the on the Campus Rec website.

Other restrictions to start: minimum age 18 and only one swim session per days.

New to the schedule: a session for high-risk populations, including senior citizens (65 and up), swimmers with disabilities and swimmers with accessibility needs. Lap swimming time for this group is 11 a.m. to noon, seven days a week.

A maximum 10 swimmers are allowed during any one-hour time slot, one swimmer per lane. Reservations are required for the first eight slots, and two are held for distribution before each session (on a first-come, first-serve basis).

Officials have allotted at least a half-hour between all sessions, to give lifeguards time to test the water chemicals and clear the pool deck to clean and sanitize before the next session begins.

Here are the starting times for other weekdays and weekends:

  • Weekdays 鈥 6:30, 8 and 9:30 a.m., and 1, 2:30, 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m.
  • Weekends 鈥 8 and 9:30 a.m., and 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m.

Zoom better!

Staff Development and Professional Services announced the following Zoom training sessions ... on Zoom, of course. All sessions are from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

  • Tuesday, June 30; Tuesday, July 7; and Wednesday, July 8
