Pfizer-BioNTech booster shots available

The Davis campus vaccine clinic has begun scheduling appointments for Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster shots for employees and students who meet the recently approved federal guidelines.

Officials said the booster shots are not required by the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 vaccine policy. So, if you have had both doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, and two weeks have elapsed since your second shot, you are considered fully vaccinated under 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 policy.

The Davis campus vaccine clinic is providing Pfizer/BioNTech boosters to employees and students (not community members at this time) who completed the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech regimen at least six months ago.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention the Pfizer-BioNTech booster for the following groups:

  • Ages 65 and up
  • Ages 50 and up with an underlying medical condition

The CDC parameters also state ages 18 to 49 with an underlying medical condition may get a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine based on their individual benefits and risks, and ages 18 to 64 years at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting may get a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech.

You must bring proof of prior immunization with you, either physical or digital vaccination cards.
