Aggie Pride Friday: Animal science major hopes to help
鈥淢y dog passed away not too long ago. She was really sick, and I couldn't afford her treatment, so I had to say goodbye to her. It made me really sad because it made me think: 鈥楬ow can I want to be somebody who helps animals yet not have been able to help my own?鈥 It took a long time, but I had to just start thinking positively鈥 I may not have been able to help her at the time, but I know in the future I will be able to help a different animal and that encourages me to keep going.
"What makes me proud to be an Aggie? Everyone is so friendly, and I know that when I go outside the house I鈥檒l see friendly faces. We help each other out鈥 if somebody gets a flat tire on their bike, somebody will stop and help out instead of ignoring them and going on their way. It鈥檚 nice to know that I鈥檓 part of a community like that.鈥
