Hillary Clinton's book tour for her retrospective on the 2016 election, What Happened, included just one California stop: at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis Monday night (Oct. 9).

She spoke to a capacity crowd at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts for 35 minutes and then participated in a conversation with KVIE's Studio Sacramento host Scott Syphax, hitting familiar points like outside influence into the 2016 election, her support for universal health care and saying recent hurricanes and the current fires burning around California are being exacerbated by climate change. She also voiced sympathy for Michelle Vo, the alumna killed in the Oct. 1 Las Vegas shooting.

The former secretary of state, New York senator and first lady said she was more well-received in her "supporting roles," and said her book describes the tightrope women have to walk between seeking professional success and remaining likeable.

"The only way we will get sexism out of politics is to get more women into politics," she said.
