For decades, earthquake researchers have explored various methods attempting to tackle this question.
Distinguished Professor John Rundle, who holds joint appointments in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, and his colleagues are exploring earthquake 鈥渘owcasting,鈥 a method inspired by practices from the fields of finance, economics and meteorology, to determine the earthquake potential of a region through time.
