аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis faculty and staff laced up their comfortable shoes and hit the pavement last week for аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Walks, an annual event held on various dates around the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ system. On the Davis campus (May 31) and the Sacramento campus (May 17), participants had the opportunity to try out the university's new walking loops.
The Staff and Faculty Health and Well-Being Program tallied 355 walkers on the Davis campus and 432 on the Sacramento campus. The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources joined most of the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ campuses in observing аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Walks on May 16, and reported a count of 450 participants at ANR facilities around the state.
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Walks is over for this year, but the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis walking loops are here to stay: Look for the colorful medallions on the ground marking the four 1-mile routes on the Davis campus and a 1-mile loop and a half-mile loop on the Sacramento campus.

Celebrating cancer survivors
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis Health marked National Cancer Survivors Day by honoring patients at a recent Sacramento Republic FC game.
