June 11, 11 a.m. PDT — A top administrator from the University of California, Davis, will be part of a White House panel with Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and chief medical advisor to the president, on the topic of the . President Joseph R. Biden announced the challenge June 2 as part of a National Month of Action to achieve a 70 percent vaccination rate (at least one shot) by the Fourth of July.
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis was among more than 200 colleges and universities that had signed on to the challenge by the time it launched. In fact, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis had already met the goals of the challenge by that time: Engage every student, and every faculty and staff member; organize the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis community; and deliver vaccine access for all.
Kelly Ratliff, vice chancellor of Finance, Operations and Administration, a lead official in аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis’ pandemic response, will address the university’s efforts toward vaccination of students, staff and faculty, and the community as well.
