Native American Culture Celebrated at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis

* March 31-April 6, Monday to Sunday -- Native American culture will be celebrated during the at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis. The highlight will be pow wow events -- featuring Native American dancing, food, arts and crafts -- from 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday on the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis Quad. Other activities include a traditional blessing ceremony and performance by the Roubedeaux Singers on Monday; an art exhibit featuring photographer Rick Rocanora at the Carl N. Gorman Museum on Tuesday; a basket-weaving demonstration and a community potluck with poetry on Wednesday; arts presentations featuring flute music, wood carving and beadwork on Thursday; and a performance by the Mankillers, an all-women drum group, on Friday.
