Under an overcast sky, more than 7,000 law enforcement officers and others filled The Pavilion for slain Davis police officer Natalie Corona鈥檚 funeral last Friday (Jan. 18). 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis hosted the service, making available the building with the most indoor seating anywhere in Yolo County, while the city Police Department organized the service.

Transportation Services (TAPS), Campus Recreation, Fire Prevention Services, Grounds and Landscape Services, communications staff and other campus units gave an assist, as did Intercollegiate Athletics and student-athletes, offering the use of all of their team rooms in The Pavilion. Billy Ray Cyrus used one of them to tune his guitar in preparation for his singing of 鈥淪ome Gave All.鈥

In addition, the campus Fire Department and the West Sacramento Fire Department hoisted the American flag from their ladder trucks, creating an arch over the funeral procession as it traveled to The Pavilion.

ADMAN Conference: March 20

Save the date for 鈥淭he Power of You!鈥 鈥 this year鈥檚 ADMAN Conference, Wednesday, March 20.

The , or ADMAN, presents the conference, but it鈥檚 open to all 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis staff members at all levels who are interested in professional development. The 2019 program includes a keynote by Jennifer Powers, a productivity consultant, success coach, business strategist, speaker and author.

Student voice on Board of Regents

The 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Board of Regents is looking for the next student regent-designate 鈥 that is, the student who will become the student regent with full voting rights in 2020-21.

Hayley Weddle, a 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 San Diego graduate student, this year鈥檚 student regent-designate, will move up to student regent in 2019-20, succeeding Devon Graves, a 新澳门六合彩内幕信息LA graduate student. And the next student regent-designate will succeed Weddle.

The student regent represents more than 270,000 graduate and undergraduate students across the university鈥檚 10-campus system. This important role brings the voice and perspectives of students to the significant issues and decisions before the board, shaping the university experience and the future of 新澳门六合彩内幕信息.

The student regent has the opportunity to visit students on all 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 campuses, grow a network of state and 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 leaders, and influence university policies. The position also comes with a full waiver of all tuition and fees during the two years of service.

Applications for student regent-designate for 2019-20 are being accepted through March 31. Applicants must be in good standing at the time of application.
