Human Resources has launched an to support a culture of mentoring at 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis.

Developed by Human Resources鈥 Talent Management Center of Expertise, the toolkit is for individuals interested in self-starting a mentoring relationship. Topic areas include 鈥淏enefits of Mentoring,鈥 鈥淭ypes of Mentoring,鈥 鈥淏eing a Mentee鈥 and 鈥淏eing a Mentor,鈥 and 鈥淔inding/Choosing a Mentor.鈥

The new resource will be an integral part of a broad mentoring initiative due for launch in the coming year.

Staff has expressed a strong interest in mentorship opportunities, according to HR, citing data from engagement surveys, campus climate surveys and HR customer focus groups.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day

新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis will observe Global Accessibility Awareness Day next week with presentations, drop-in support and a workshop.

The program, presented by the Electronic Accessibility Committee and the Office of Campus Community Relations, will run from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at the Activities and Recreation Center. Everyone is invited.

According to a flier, the organizers aim 鈥渢o build awareness and knowledge of digital (Web, software, mobile, etc.) accessibility and users with different disabilities.鈥

The flier notes 新澳门六合彩内幕信息鈥檚 commitment to providing electronic materials that are accessible to everyone, and adds: 鈥淚f you work with students or instructors, maintain a website, or distribute materials, please join us to learn more about electronic accessibility and what you can do to reach everyone.鈥

The program includes 鈥淎ccessibility Awareness鈥 presentations from 10 to 11 a.m. and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Drop-in support is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. 鈥淪top by to get one-on-one help with creating accessible documents, learning about captioning or creating accessible websites.鈥

Instructors are invited to a workshop titled 鈥淯niversal Design for Learning: Reaching Learners with Diverse Needs by Creating Flexible Courses, Activities and Assessments.鈥 The workshop will run from 11:15 to 12:15 p.m.

People planning to attend are asked to register in advance . Pizza will be provided.
