I announced a retirement date for moobilenetx: Thursday, June 22. By that time, you should have switched to eduroam or you will lose your campus Wi-Fi.

TechNews posted the following: Sign in to eduroam by using your Kerberos ID (the same one you use to sign into the Central Authentication Service, or CAS) plus @ucdavis.edu (i.e., ). The campus has been encouraging faculty, staff, and students to use eduroam instead of moobilenetx for the past year. IT directors have received lists of campus constituents still using moobilenetx, as well as tools to help migrate their users to eduroam.

鈥淚t is our goal to make the disconnect a minor event and have many of the users off of moobilenetx in advance of the retirement date,鈥 said Chris Clements, network operations manager.

Discount offered for Pre-College Program         

announced a special offer for staff and faculty: a 20 percent discount to enroll their children in the new , a three-week summer residential program for high school students, giving them the opportunity to 鈥渢est-drive鈥 the university.

The discount reduces the cost of the program to $5,520 for students who choose to reside on campus, or $4,240 for commuters. The program is for high school students just finishing their sophomore or junior years.

The Pre-College Program has received good response since being announced in December. In this college preview, students will live on campus, participate in social activities and off-campus excursions, and receive leadership training and college admissions counseling.

The program is designed to help high school students make the right choices for their academic future and showcase the unique aspects of the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis college experience.

The 鈥榥ew鈥 MU: Employee onboarding, ID cards

The AggieCard office and the new Employee Onboarding Center are open for business in the remodeled . They share space in 244 MU.

EMPLOYEE ONBOARDING CENTER 鈥 This is now the primary location for onboarding of staff and faculty working for departments and units that are clients of the . The onboarding center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; employees who use this location will be provided with one-hour complimentary parking for 鈥淐鈥 permit spaces on the north side of the campus.

Services offered at this location include:

  • New hire paperwork
  • Employee ID Cards
  • Benefits orientation scheduling
  • Background Check scheduling (if applicable)
  • Department of Motor Vehicles record request (if applicable)
  • Computing account access instructions
  • University policies and resources review

This center is in addition to onboarding locations in the and at the .

AGGIECARDS (employee ID) 鈥 This location serves all campus staff and retirees, and faculty, postdocs and visiting scholars. Hours are 12:30 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. More information is available online. The schedule an appointment, look for the link on the Employee ID webpage.

Aggies win 5th consecutive Causeway Cup

If they play more than once, the points are divided by the number of matches; so, for example, if they play twice in a year, each match is worth 2.5 points.

After splitting the first four head-to-head events this season, 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis quickly distanced itself from Sacramento State by winning 12 consecutive contests 鈥 the Aggies鈥 longest win streak in the cup鈥檚 history 鈥 for 47.5 points, 7 points more than the 40.5 needed to clinch the title.

HVAC shutdown over the long weekend

Campus will shut down heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in nonlaboratory spaces during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, Saturday through Monday (May 27-29). This is standard practice on long weekends.

Most recently, the campus shut down nonlaboratory HVAC systems in 50 buildings (1.7 million square feet) during the Cesar Chavez Holiday weekend, Friday through Sunday, March 31-April 2. It was a mild weekend, weather-wise, and still the campus saved roughly $28,000 in energy costs, or enough energy to power Mrak Hall for five months.

The is interested in seeing how much more savings can be achieved during the warmer days of the Memorial Day weekend.
