October Crowdfund аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis Includes 31 Projects to Transform Lives

There is still time left in October, and with it, the Fall Crowdfund аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis! This year, 31 dynamic projects, driven by students, faculty, and staff, combine forces to make a real impact on our campus and beyond. Whether you’re passionate about cutting-edge research, sustainability, diversity, or student aid, Crowdfund аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis offers countless ways to make a difference.

One standout project, Student Emergency Relief Aid, or SERA, returns this fall. SERA offers up to $2,000 in emergency funds for students facing unexpected financial crises, from medical bills to rent. Since 2011, over 350 students have been supported by this vital initiative — all thanks to the generosity of donors.

For those invested in research, the Center for Mind and Brain’s Language Learning Lab seeks support to uncover how deaf children learn in visual environments. Your contribution could fuel groundbreaking research, leading to transformative interventions that support these children’s development.

Also leading the charge for positive change is Advancing Womxn in Technology, a project dedicated to increasing the representation of womxn in IT at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis. Through networking events, panels, and discussions, they foster innovation and inclusivity by creating opportunities for underrepresented voices in tech.

takes place in October and February each year, and since its debut in February 2020, it has raised more than $2.3 million from more than 11,000 gifts and nearly 10,000 donors. Join us today! Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow.

The Annual and Special Gifts Program, in cooperation with Advancement Services, reviews applications and provides the Crowdfund аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis platform, training, guidance and some publicity — but it’s up to project teams to fuel the marketing and networking that lead to fundraising success.

The application period for the February 2024 cohort opens Nov. 1.
