Police Arrest Suspect in Campus Burglaries

Urge Continued Vigilance on Security

新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis police officers arrested a Davis man early this morning (Nov. 12) in connection with a series of burglaries on campus.

Officers responded to an alarm at the 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis Medical Group clinic on West Covell Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m. With assistance from the Davis Police Department, officers set up a perimeter and arrested Bluehawk Gonzales as he exited the building carrying a cash box.

新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis detectives investigating a series of recent burglaries on campus had already identified Gonzales as a suspect and begun assembling a case, in collaboration with Davis police and the Yolo County district attorney鈥檚 office. While examining property recovered in the arrest, they discovered that Gonzales was in possession of items stolen in several campus burglaries, police said.

Gonzales, 35, was booked at the county jail on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools and stolen property, and violation of probation. Campus and city police are continuing to investigate possible links to other recent burglaries on campus and in the city.

Ensure that doors and windows are locked and secure, and do not let unknown people into buildings or 鈥渢ailgate鈥 behind you. Keep valuable items secured or out of sight and report suspicious incidents or behavior.

Police had increased security patrols on campus following a rash of break-ins, with 15 incidents reported from Oct. 29 to Nov. 9.
