Ralph Hexter Now the Interim Chancellor

Ralph J. Hexter’s title changed last week, from “acting chancellor to “interim chancellor.”

°ϲĻϢ President Janet Napolitano appointed him acting chancellor in April, and, when the office of the chancellor officially became vacant, she put forward his name to be the interim chancellor. The Board of Regents approved her recommendation on Sept. 15.

Afterward, Interim Chancellor Hexter put out this statement:

“I am deeply honored to serve as interim chancellor for °ϲĻϢ Davis and humbled that °ϲĻϢ President Janet Napolitano has given me this responsibility while she conducts an international search for the campus’s next chancellor. I am so proud of our students, faculty and staff, who have rallied together in extraordinary times to pursue our core commitments and maintain our momentum in a multitude of areas. Moving forward, I pledge to do all that I can to make this period one of valued collaboration with our diverse community, continued success in our academic and administrative efforts, and regular communication about our progress. To our broad community, know that I am profoundly appreciative of your contributions and dedication to this great institution.”

The °ϲĻϢ Office of the President is conducting the search. °ϲĻϢ Davis is passing along information via this website.
