Effective Saturday, March 19, 2022, the University of California, Davis, will follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and state and local public health guidelines that no longer require masks for most indoor settings.
This change will apply to both the Davis and Sacramento campuses. Masks will still be required in clinical settings and on public transit, in accordance with the federal, state and local guidelines.
Masks are still strongly recommended by our public health officials and by аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÄÚÄ»ÐÅÏ¢ Davis for vaccinated and unvaccinated people. The university supports those who wish to continue to mask indoors, including those who are immunocompromised or otherwise concerned.
Employees and students who are not fully vaccinated must continue testing every four days. Davis campus employees and students who are fully vaccinated must continue testing every 14 days.
As a reminder, people who are up to date on their vaccinations have a much lower risk to their health.
Further updates will be provided in Chancellor Gary S. May’s next letter to the community on March 11.
