Emergency officials encourage members of the campus community to update their WarnMe and Aggie Alert listings or add additional contact information before the Thursday test.
The test will go out at about 11:50 a.m. via text message and email to °ϲĻϢ Davis affiliates, and text message only to people who sign up via the community registration page.
New vendor
The expansion of the emergency notification service beyond ucdavis.edu email accounts is one of two features that °ϲĻϢ Davis gained when it changed vendors for WarnMe and Aggie Alert. Later this quarter, the campus plans to introduce a new mobile app for personal safety.
“Safety is a top priority at °ϲĻϢ Davis, and these capabilities are great additions,” said Jill Parker, associate vice chancellor for Safety Services. “With the for °ϲĻϢ Davis WarnMe and Aggie Alert, we can notify parents, vendors and visitors of campus emergencies.”
