Children鈥檚 Hospital Toy Drive

Each year, the Children鈥檚 Hospital raises money to provide holiday gifts to every child spending the holiday season in their hospital. The annual toy drive event, running now through Dec. 24, also helps the hospital keep toys, crafts, books and electronics in stock year-round. These materials are used to engage patients at their bedsides, and to help celebrate developmental milestones.

Michelle Tafoya, senior director of development at 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis Children鈥檚 Hospital and the Children鈥檚 Miracle Network at 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis Health, along with her team, manage the program each year, with support from Crowdfund 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis.

鈥淓ach year we receive crucial support from 新澳门六合彩内幕信息 Davis employees on both sides of the causeway,鈥 she said. 鈥淭hat support has gotten us to the point where we can actually have materials in stock for the kids year-round. And that鈥檚 huge for the kids. It has really been a game-changer.鈥

Gifts will support the Child Life program at the hospital, clinics, and the MIND Institute. Last holiday season, the project raised almost $29,000 to support these children during the holidays and throughout the year. This year they are hoping to increase that amount.
