Guests coming from out of town are encouraged to make reservations for accommodations as early as possible. Local hotels in and around Davis (located in Yolo County) are a great way to stay close to your graduates.

Undergraduate Commencement Information

Admission to the Undergraduate Ceremonies & Ticket Information
 

Fall Undergraduate Commencement location: The Fall undergraduate commencement ceremony  will be held at the University Credit Union Center at the Davis campus. 

Tickets: Graduates must for the commencement ceremony by Monday, December 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PST. During the registration process, graduates can request up to four tickets for guests.

Graduates don’t need tickets: Graduating students who are registered to participate in the ceremony do not need tickets to enter and will be checking in at a separate area. Graduates will receive more information about check in closer to their ceremony date.

How tickets will be sent: Digital guest tickets will be emailed directly to graduating students who registered for commencement from the Aggie Ticket Office by EOD December 5. If you do not receive this email by December 9, please contact the ticket office to have it resent to you.

The email containing digital guest tickets can be downloaded, or printed, to forward to your guests.

If you have issues with ticket downloading ONLY, please contact the box office directly at aggietickets@ucdavis.edu or at (530) 752-2471. The ticket office will reply during their regular business hours of Monday-Friday between 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. They are located at the °ϲĻϢ Davis Health Stadium, by Gate 1, facing La Rue Road.

Do not wait until the day of the ceremony to access your tickets. Login and add your tickets to your phone’s virtual wallet or print a hard copy in case of connectivity issues.

When you will receive your guest tickets: Guest tickets will only be issued to the registered graduate a few days prior to the ceremony date.

Guests need tickets: Tickets are not required for children ages 2 and under. Please note that guest tickets are considered “general admission.” This means there are no assigned seats and seating is first come, first served. Doors will open one hour prior to the start time for each ceremony and guests should plan to come early to secure their seats. 

Extra tickets: Each registered graduate is guaranteed up to 4 tickets and the quantity must be indicated on the online registration form. Registered graduates can also indicate if they would like to petition for up to 2 extra tickets (for a total of 6). These 2 tickets are not guaranteed regardless of a petition. Petitions will be reviewed by December 6, 2024.

Don’t sell your guest tickets: All tickets issued to guests are free. University policy prohibits the selling of commencement tickets for money or for any commercial value. Violation will result in referral to Student Judicial Affairs.

Parking and Parking Accommodations

If you are planning to drive, ensure you and your guests leave ample time to park and get to the University Credit Union Center. Ceremonies will start on time.

If driving, we highly recommend carpooling. For more parking info, including directions and a map, drop off zones and accommodation information, visit the visit the for info on parking and transportation.

Complimentary Mobility Assistance Shuttle service will be provided between the Pavilion Parking Structure and the Southeast entrance at the venue from 8am - 1pm. Those who wish to utilize this service should park in the Pavilion Parking Structure, and proceed to the shuttle stop located just outside the structure’s west entrance, on the North Dairy Road bike path.

Graduates and guests may park at no charge in Lot 25 or the Pavilion Parking Structure, from 7am - 1pm on commencement day.  

Public Transportation

There are several options for those who wish to travel to and from Commencement using public transportation. It is important to consider transit schedules carefully and build in time to arrive at least an hour and half before ceremonies begin. Unitrans and the Yolobus are free for students with a valid °ϲĻϢ Davis Student ID. 

Special Accommodations 

Students should indicate any accommodation needs at the time of registration or contact their college’s commencement coordinator. 

There are wheelchair spaces (which allow for one companion max) at the top of each corner section and at mid-court along the concourse level, and elevator access is located in the SW corner. All seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you need to use one of our assisted-listening devices, you and one other guest (max) should report to the staff ushers located in Section 212. When wearing the device, you will be required to sit in a designated area (lower bench rows in 212 in the stands) for the best reception.

Live sign language interpreters will be onsite and will be broadcast picture-in-picture on the jumbo screens. Closed-captioning will be available after commencements on the on-demand stream versions.
